We’re excited to share the brand new Humboldt penguin exhibit with you.
There are 17 species of penguins in the world, and we’re happy to welcome Humboldt penguins to Woodland Park Zoo! Unlike their chilly Antarctic relatives, Humboldt penguins live in a warm and dry climate off the west coast of South America. They eat fish, love to swim and live in colonies (or groups of penguins). Of course, Humboldt penguins aren’t actually colored the wild patterns featured here— but they sure do have colorful personalities!
